But if you think all these incidents deflates our spirit, think again. Optimism is pervasive in this part of the world. India is growing despite itself. In the face of the great depression India has emerged as a resilient economy. The exquisite show that India manged to put up (so what if in the last minute) at the recent Common Wealth Games was another demonstration of the grit India beheld when all the cynics of the world were let loose on us.From getting our own silicon valley in bengaluru to acquiring major companies overseas by our corporate giants, India is dominating the world scene. In a similar vein , the greater belief observers around the globe shown in ours has directly translated into foreign direct investment and this seismic shift unthinkable just decades before has placed us in different league altogether.
No more India is known as the land of snakes and elephants. Today it is viewed as alluring market with immense potential. The attraction which India offes today is not limited to yoga and spirituality but it ranges over overwhelming number of temptations from medical services to cheapest workforce of skilled workers. The contemporary Indian writers and artists have arrested the attention ot the west like never before as Indian students have redefined their presence in foreign campuses. The introduction of RTI was a defining moment in the history of India as it empowered the aam admi and turned the table for the first time.
